In this 90-minute workshop you will learn to create a printed pattern using eco elements on cotton material, suitable for quilting.

Elisabeth will share with you the tips you need to create repeat patterns using kitchen left overs and foraged elements as a dye source. You will be able to upcycle material from your stash with beautiful results.

This method is perfect for beginners who want to create base fabrics for quilting. You will go home with samples and a full proof method to work on small-scale projects.

Advisory Note: 
This workshop is suitable for anyone 18+. 
Please wear old clothes as dye can stain; aprons will be provided, but not gloves. If you have sensitive skin please bring your own.

Meet the Tutor
Elisabeth Viguie Culshaw
Elisabeth is a French born textile artist with a background in Decorative arts and for the past 10 years natural dyes. She practices in Glasgow Scotland where she grows a dye garden in the Botanics. She travels the world to learn from the masters and teaches online and in person. Elisabeth also works on commissions. Her yearly September exhibition “Feeling Blue” is a key moment of natural dyes in Glasgow.
