Discover the art of painting with buttercream and learn how to create beautiful, textured floral designs directly onto a cake using palette knives.
In this hands-on masterclass, you’ll explore how colour, texture and simple knife movements can transform buttercream into a painterly floral scene.

Under Kerry’s guidance you will learn how to:
•    Assemble an edible canvas ready to paint
•    Prepare and work with buttercream specifically for palette knife painting
•    Learn essential palette knife techniques including press, drag and lift
•    Build dimensional flowers using layers of colour, from dark shadows to light highlights
•    Create realistic-looking leaves and foliage with simple knife strokes
•    Mix and combine colours to create depth, contrast and highlights
•    Create texture and movement without overworking the buttercream
•    Plan and balance a floral design on a portrait-format cake
•    Develop confidence in using buttercream as an artistic medium and create a unique finished cake to take home
