This masterclass is designed for intermediate sewists who are confident using a sewing machine and have previous sewing experience.

Participants should:

•    Have good control of a sewing machine and be comfortable sewing
•    accurate curves.
•    Have previous experience making sewing projects such as bags,
•    home décor or garments.
•    Be confident working independently while following step-by-step instruction.

This class is not suitable for complete beginners, as the project involves advanced rope construction techniques, shaping, and precision assembly.
Individual guidance will be provided throughout the workshop to help participants achieve a professional-quality finish.

Meet the Tutor

Gosia

Gosia is the heart and hands behind Knot Now based in Northamptonshire. With a deep love for sustainable craftsmanship, she started this journey to provide eco-friendly sewing cords that support creative projects.

Gosia originally searched for the right sewing cord for herself but without success, which is what led her to take on the challenge of creating them herself. Over time, she managed to find and develop the right machinery for production. All materials are carefully selected to ensure the cord is of the highest quality.

Gosia’s passion for working with sewing cords comes from hands-on experience and a genuine love for making. While she doesn’t have formal teaching experience, she is excited to share what she has learned with others. There are so many things that can be created using cord, and Gosia really enjoys discovering new possibilities and techniques.

Gosia’s passion is helping makers discover how easy and enjoyable rope sewing can be, using high-quality, sustainable materials to create beautiful, professional-quality bags, baskets and home décor with confidence.
