Learn how to ‘draw’ with your sewing machine. Design and create a small picture with freehand machine embroidery and applied fabrics. Learn how to set up your machine, and be inspired to have a go on your own at home. You will learn to stitch trees and landscape textures on a simple painted background.

Meet the Tutor
Wendy Dolan
Wendy is an experienced artist, tutor and lecturer living in Sussex. She exhibits and sells her work, inspired by the world around her. As a freelance tutor and lecturer, Wendy shares her passion for textiles, specialising in freehand machine embroidery. She teaches across the UK, and leads textile tours to India with Aahilya Holidays.
Wendy is the author of ‘Layer, Paint and Stitch’ a Search Press Bestseller. She is a Fellow of the Society of Designer Craftsmen.
