HOW TO USE COLLAGRAPH PLATE ON FABRIC with Samantha Townsend

60-minute workshop – cost £20.00

In this fun workshop Samantha will explain what a collagraph plate is and how to make one. You will be given the chance to play with some that Samantha has already made and shown how you can use them to enhance quilts by adding symbolism or texture in a subtle and not-so-subtle ways.

You will use a combination of Markals, Inktense Blocks and other materials to decorate some fabric that you can take home and quilt into in your own time.

Advisory Note:

This workshop is suitable for all ages and abilities, under 16 years with adult supervision only.

Meet the Tutor

Samantha Townsend (Designed by Sam) graduated from Gray’s School of Art many years ago and she has worked as a creative artist her whole adult life, first in jewellery and now in textiles. Sam teaches City & Guilds in Patchwork & Quilting, and Creative Sketchbooks (both online), as well as visiting groups and giving talks and in person workshops.
