90-minute workshop – cost £28.00

Learn the technique of needle-turn appliqué with this very forgiving freehand technique. This is a relaxing and mindful way to hand sew and once stitched you will be adding hand quilting to create a cute rainbow coaster complete with bound edge. Or make more rainbows at home for a larger project.

Advisory Note: 
Suitable for beginners over the age of 16. Some experience with hand stitching would be beneficial.

Jo Avery
Jo Avery is a prize-winning quilter based in Scotland. She is a regular contributor to many quilting publications and the author of both New Patchwork and Quilting Basics and Modern Crewel Embroidery. As part of The Thread House, she organises sewing retreats and an online teaching Academy. Inspired by nature her eclectic style perfectly blends modern aesthetics with traditional techniques.
