Sleeping Squirrel Needle Felting Workshop

Using lots of lovely russet and ginger coloured wools enjoy making a sweet Sleeping Squirrel all snuggled up and cosy in his nest.

During this class you will learn how to use different textured wools and experiment with twisted and straight felting needles.

Liberty will guide you through step-by-step with hints and tips along the way and will have you prodding away to your heart’s content.

Suitable for beginners and beyond, over the age of 15 years (under 16’s with adult supervision only). 

Meet the Tutor

Liberty Goodswen is an award-winning needle Felter – you may have seen her win ‘Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas’ on Channel 4, with her Donkey Wreath and also her tree full of felted animals in 2023! Liberty has been a professional Felter for over 14 years both in Italy and England, with lots of teaching experience and a gallery in Somerset, which has come to be known as Liberty’s Felterie. Over the years she has experimented and developed various techniques, which she loves to share so that others can really enjoy and progress their felting. Much of her work is based on birds and animals with an emphasis on giving them their own characters.
