2-hour workshop – cost £38.00
Design your own brooch and learn how you can transform your ideas into beautifully coloured textile jewellery.
You will be taught how to stitch free-motion-embroidery on washaway fabric allowing you to craft a brooch to wear as a fashion accessory.
Plenty of cotton coloured-threads will be available but how many you incorporate in your project depends on your confidence and speed as a stitcher.
Your last activity is hand sewing a brooch back to your design and wearing it for all to see!
Advisory Note:
Suitable for all ages, but with some experience of using a sewing machine, so no complete beginners. 14- to 18-year-olds must be accompanied by an adult.
Meet the Tutor
SarahB
SarahB is a conscious led creative as sustainability, eco-friendly materials and invention form the basis of her work. She is a member of MAKE Southwest and has one of her environmentally friendly fashion accessories in the Museum of Design in Plastics.
Sarah is the inventor of a flatpack dress form that has been used to enhance displays in Harrods as well as in other London venues.
