Creative Learning Hub Demo | Sandra Rushton | Sanntangle® artwork session

Tuesday 4th August 2020

Facebook

Relax and quiet your mind.  Follow along with Sandra using just a pen, pencil and paper stub to create a wonderful piece of art from scratch. Can't draw? Not a problem. The piece is created from a series of pen strokes; a line, a curve, an orb. There is no right or wrong just a sense of peace and gratitude, the final piece is always a pleasant surprise and as unique as you are.

Sandra Rushton qualified as a certified zentangle teacher in 2018 after attending a teacher training course with the founders of zentangle Maria Thomas and Rick Roberts. Since that time Sandra has created her own brand incorporating it into the arts and crafts world manufacturing stencils and instructional guides. Her work is inspired by the original zentangle® method but her products are not official zentangle products.

All of the virtual demos are held on a closed Facebook group.  Once you have bought your ticket you will receive an email receipt which will then be followed by an email with joining instructions.

Here is what you will need to complete the project:

What you will need:

Download the template or write/stamp your own sentiment. Print onto as best a cardstock you can. The finished piece will be approx 12x18cm. Sandra uses 200gsm cartridge paper.

Pen - preferably a black fine liner. Sandra uses a black sakura 02 but whatever you have will do

Pencil - just a simple pencil, HB, 2 or 2B would be ideal.

Paper stub, also known as a blender or tortillon if you can. If you dont have this you can improvise, perhaps a baby bud?

Flat surface to work on

The final piece will be similar to the example but note: a different verse will be used (copyright etc)

Please note tickets are non-refundable. £8 is an introductory rate. ICHF Events cannot be held responsible for the students’ wifi reception when transmitting the demonstrations. Demos can be watched back at leisure once the live has ended.
Each demo is approximately 60-90 mins, some may be pre-recorded but the artist will be available in the group during the scheduled time to answer any questions.
